Picking was back to normal today. Although there are less berries than a week ago there are still good berries to pick. Don't wait too long as the strawberry season will end sometime next week.
July 8, 2009
After 3 days of rain picking should be good for the last week of the season. The field has had a rest and there are berries to be had! Don't miss out!
July 6, 2009
We had rain rain and more rain today. No staff showed up (thank goodness it was awful!) and we had to cancel ordered strawberries.
We will be open tomorrow, Tuesday July 7, at 8 am for UPICK. Picking will be good. The berries are not jumping into your buckets anymore and you have to work a bit harder. Berry flavor is incredible!

We had a very nice day. Berries are looking great and conditions should be very good for the next week at least.
Thursday, June 25, 2009
Picking today was excellent! Berry quality is great with full buckets in no time at all! Picking will be excellent for the next week! The cool but clear weather (ok it rained later on today) means that people are spread out (not pounding at the gate at 8 am!) so picking is calm and relaxing. We have lots of ripe berries on the field! Come and get em!
Saturday, June 25, 2009
The picking continues to be great!!!!
Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Slower picking today with some rain. (Ok, we'll admit it, barely anyone braved the rain!) Consequently we have lots and lots of ripe berries to pick tomorrow (Thursday). Picking will be excellent!!!
Tuesday, June 23, 2009
Picking was excellent today. Contrary to popular belief our extra large berries are not on steroids or growth hormones. It is amazing what natural and organic fertilizers can do. Of course our Strawberries are spray free. Our one variety that is very big is of excellent quality this year. Our slight less large varieties are also great!!!
Monday,June 22, 2009
Picking was good today and will be excellent from now on. A lot of berries are at perfect ripeness for great picking. Come early and get some great berries!!!!
Sunday,June 21, 2009

Saturday,June 20, 2009
We had a lot of pickers on the fields - slow and steady and stress free; it was a pleasant day for picking! The berry picking is not fast and furious yet, but there are definitely berries to be had. We are predicting a lot of ripe berries this week. Do a warm and sunny but not too hot dance and keep an eye on our page!
June 18, 2009
We had pickers on the field today for the first pick. They did well with buckets of big red berries. They had to look carefully, but there are berries to be had and tomorrow there will be more. We will be open for upick! Every day should be better than the last....with the sun this afternoon we'll be getting nice ripening. Come and save the big ones from the birds!!
June 17, 2009
We will be open on Thursday June 18 for UPICK strawberries. The gates will open at 9 am. Early season picking conditions. We have red berries on the field, but the picking WILL NOT be fast and furious.
June 15, 2009
There appears to be lots of red berries on the field, but when you go to pick them they are not QUITE ripe. It took me ages to get a pound this morning. We will probably be open Friday or Saturday, with picking conditions unpredictable. Please check here for updates!
June 12, 2009
It is really hard to tell for sure when we will be open. Keep checking. We suspect mid to late next week......but after 4 years we STILL won't know until we have too many ripe berries to pick! There are ripe berries but only enough for little boys to pick and eat. Holdy wanted to make a strawberry pie today but with three ripe berries we convinced him to have sliced berries in yoghurt instead. He loved them!
June 9, 2009]
There are red berries on the field - few and far apart - and they taste good! 10 - 14 days until opening - Keep checking back here for dates!
June 8, 2009
The strawberry crop is progressing nicely. We still have a lot of bloom but also A LOT OF BERRIES. We can't predict exactly when we'll be open, but we think somewhere around June 21-June 25. Please check back here for updates. Photos coming soon!
Raspberries are in full bloom with green berries showing up!
May 18/09 Work continues on our farm, mostly weeding. The berries are looking good and we are beginning to see a few flowers. Please check back mid June for a more accurate prediction of berry ripeness.
Work has begun this year narrowing the rows, weeding and general maintenance.
